| Microsoft SharePoint 2010 RTM and Office 2010 RTM to MSDN subscribers late last week. The public launch, along with the preliminary best practices and install guides, are expected on May 12. The RTM version of SharePoint 2010 includes an improved installation process in which ALL pre-requistes are automatically configured if needed. The Beta and RC versions required some manual prerequsite steps, but everything is automated now. It will also download the required prerequsite software for you if Internet access is available. Also note that if the Message Queing service is set to Disabled (often times by a Group Policy setting) the prerequsite checker will fail when configuring IIS. Set this service to manual or automatic and re-run the pre-requsite checker.
